PS3 bitstream introduces delay!

If you set the PS3 to output Bitstream (Dolby Digital, DTS etc), it will cause a delay in the audio. Allowing it to output 2 channel PCM is the only option for me, as my shitty Panasonic Home Theatre-in-a-box receiver is connected from my TV using optical (optical can’t handle more than 2 channel PCM sound). PCM has no delay.

The PS3 must have issues sending out a Bitstream signal and the video signal at the same time. Or the receiver is taking too long to process it.

So, I can choose either 5.1 sound with a delay, or 2 channel sound with no delay. I’ll take no delay…
